Israeli Army will begin integration of Tamnun portable command and control system in March 2013

The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) will begin the integration of the “Tamnun” portable command and control (C2) system in March 2013. The first units to put the system to use will be the intelligence collection units of the IDF Ground Forces. The system includes an encrypted computer and a monitor adapted for operation in harsh terrain conditions.
Modular Tactical System (MTS), a lightweight, wearable and rugged computer system that is integrated into the user’s uniform and equipment, and optimized for dismounted C4ISR.
