IAI Israel Aerospace Industries intensifies effiort to penetrate Brazil Defence market at LAAD 2013

During the international defense and security LAAD exhibition, which is currently underway in Rio de Janeiro, Israel Aerospace Industries' (IAI) group and subsidiary ELTA Systems Ltd. intensifies efforts to penetrate the Brazilian defense market by signing an agreement of investment and cooperation with electronic company IACIT.

Russian defence industry exhibits more than 200 weapons and military equipment at LAAD 2013

Russian state arms export agency Rosoboronexport exhibits more than 200 items of Russian weapons and military equipment at the LAAD 2013 Defence and Security exhibition. The company is a traditional participant in the event since 1995, but this year the exposition is increased. The total area of Russia's exposition managed by the Rostec Corporation will be three times larger than that at LAAD 2011.

CAESAR 155mm self-propelled howitzer to modernize artillery units in South America countries

The French Defence Company Nexter Systems presents for the first time at the defence exhibition LAAD, the most modern 155mm self-propelled wheeled artillery system, the CAESAR. The CAESAR® system is now in service in three countries. It is used by the French army in Afghanistan to provide fire support, and it has demonstrated its operational capabilities and is now Combat Proven.

At LAAD 2013, the Belgian defence Company CMI Defence presents its new 120/105mm Cockerill XC-8, a low-weight concept-turret which can be integrated on tracked or wheeled armoured vehicle as Guarani, the new armoured vehicle selected by the Brazilian army to replace the old Urutu armored vehicle used today by the Brazilian armed forces.

Russia and Brazil to discuss for a joint development of advanced air defence missile system Parana

Russia and Brazil will discuss the possibility of the joint development of an advanced surface-to-air missile system, Parana, at the LAAD 2013 defense exhibition in Rio de Janeiro, Russian state-owned defense firm Rosoboronexport said on Monday, April 8, 2013.
Brazil has started negotiations with Russia on acquisition of Pantsir-S1 air defense systems.
