Turkish army stop the contract with the Company BMC for the delivery of MRAP vehicle Kirpi

Turkey intends to terminate a contract with private company BMC to purchase a new batch of Kirpi Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP), the Zaman newspaper reported on Friday, May 3, 2013. According to the report in this regard, the Defense Industry Secretariat of the Armed Forces of Turkey sent a letter to the company in which it notified the company about refusal to cooperate. 
The Kirpi is a 4x4 combat vehicle in the category of MRAP produced by the Turkish Company BMC

Otokar to provide tactical armoured vehicles after the failure for delivery of BMC Kirpi MRAP

Turkish defense and civil industry firm Otokar has inked an agreement to provide tactical armored vehicles to the security forces amid the government’s problems with BMC, which promised to deliver Kirpi armored carriers but has been unable to deliver orders on time.
The Kirpi is a 4x4 armoured vehicle in the category of MRAP produced and manufactured by the Turkish Company BMC.

The Buffalo MRAP of U.S. Marine Corps will be upgraded with a new powered rear door

The U.S. Navy reports that Buffalo Mine Resistant Ambush Protection vehicles operated by the Marine Corps are being upgraded with a rear-door assist device. The rear door of the armored vehicle weighs 500 pounds and is opened manually. It was designed for flat ground, which makes opening it difficult on uneven terrain or in a rollover situation.
The Buffalo Mine Protected Clearance Vehicle (MPCV) is the recognized leader in route clearance missions around the globe and is currently in service with the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, France and Italy.

Turkish Company BMC delayed delivery of Kirpi armoured vehicles due to financial problems

The Turkish Defense Industry Undersecretariat has given BMC, the maker of Turkey’s Kirpi brand armored carriers, a one-month deadline to deliver 175 Kirpis and 105 trucks that the company has failed to deliver thus far due to its financial problems, a high official at the undersecretariat has said.
The Kirpi is a 4x4 armoured vehicle in the MRAP category designed and manufactured in Turkey by BMC.
