General Dynamics awarded a contract to produce M1A2S main battle tank for Saudi Arabia

General Dynamics Land Systems has been awarded an additional $40 million for the procurement and production of Saudi M1A2 (M1A2S) Abrams tanks for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This modification is part of an existing contract to upgrade the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s fleet of tanks.

Bumar set up new main battle tank construction consortium to create modular tracked platform

On 14th February in Warsaw, Bumar Sp. z o.o., together with other companies of the Polish defense industry set up a new main battle tank construction consortium. The goal of the consortium, according to the records, is performing research and development works and the implementation of “Universal Modular Tracked Platform in a Direct Support Vehicle/New Main Battle Tank version” to the production stage.

The Anders is a Multirole Tracked Combat Platform designed and developed by Obrum part of the Bumar Group.

Iranian army will unveil further optimization of its home-made Zolfaqar main battle tank

Commander of the Iranian Army Ground Force Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Pourdastan said the Army plans to unveil an optimized version of the home-made Zolfaqar tank in the near future. "The tank's fire control system and stabilizer have been optimized and it will be unveiled by the next two weeks," Pourdastan told reporters in Tehran.
