Russian engineer troops interested by new Armata tank chassis to replace old engineer vehicles

The new tracked chassis Armata is not yet ready but engineer troops of Russian army are already interested. A source from the Ministry of Defence said that the command of the Russian engineer troops had already prepared a tactical mission for a universal engineering vehicle with this new chassis, according the newspaper Izvestia, on April 22, 2013.

Russian army would like to upgrade BMD-1 airborne armoured infantry fighting vehicle

The Russian Defense Ministry has announced a tender for the modernization of BMD-1 airborne fighting vehicles, and plans to spend almost 3.4 billion rubles (around $100 million) on that goal, the state procurements agency said on Monday, April 22, 2013.

AutoKraz has won a tender to supply 6x6 trucks to Royal Thai Army

PJSC “AutoKrAZ” has won the tender for delivery of large lot of KrAZ trucks for the needs of Royal Thai Army. Trucks to be delivered will be provided with the YaMZ-238DE2-33 engine rated at 330 hp (Euro 3), the 9JS150TA-B transmission and the MFZ-430 clutch. All the trucks are right-hand drive.

U.S. Department of State delivers two Metal Shark 28 Defiant boats to the Navy of Djibouti

The U.S. Department of State has provided the Djiboutian navy with two high-speed aluminum coastal security boats to strengthen Djibouti's maritime security capabilities to protect its borders and combat piracy, smuggling and terrorist threats. During a boat delivery and turnover ceremony at the Djibouti Navy Headquarters, Escale Marina, more than a dozen Djiboutian sailors received certification for the state-of-the-art patrol boats. 

KAI to develop a dedicated version of its Surion helicopter for ROK Navy's Dokdo class LPH

KAI, or Korea Aerospace Industries, Inc. develops the amphibious task helicopter for the Korea's Marine Corps will run. The Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) announced on the 17th that it held its 66th defense project promotion committee and selected KAI as a priority negotiator for the development of the amphibious task helicopter system.
