South Korea ready to purchase 60 F-35 CTOL fighter aircraft from United States

The Defense Security Cooperation Agency of United States notified Congress March 29 of a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Government of Korea for 60 F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Conventional Take Off and Landing (CTOL) aircraft and associated equipment, parts, training and logistical support for an estimated cost of $10.8 billion.
The conventional takeoff and landing (CTOL) F-35A is a multirole, supersonic, stealth fighter that has extraordinary acceleration and 9-g maneuverability and agility.

Third F-35B fighter aircraft for United Kingdom makes first fligt at Fort Woorth in United States

Monday, April 2, 2013, the third United Kingdom Lockheed Martin [NYSE:LMT] F-35 Lightning II sped down the runway at Naval Air Station Fort Worth Joint Reserve Base embarking on its first flight.

A Norwegian missile developed by Kongsberg to be used on F-35 stealth figher aircraft

A missile specifically designed for use on F-35 fighters for Norway has for the first time been fitted onto an aircraft, Lockheed Martin said. The Joint Strike Missile, which is under development by Kongsberg, was attached last month to a fighter destined for Norway at Lockheed's facility in Fort Worth, Texas.

First Kongsberg Joint Strike Missile (JSM) fitted on the F-35

Development of the new Joint Strike Missile (JSM, the air launched variant of the NSM - Naval Strike Missile) is progressing, and 27 February an important milestone was passed when the aircraft manufacturer Lockheed Martin for the first time fitted one of the missiles to a F-35 at its facility in Ft Worth, Texas.

Second Lockheed Martin F-35 fighter aircraft for the Netherlands rolled out of the production facility

The second Lockheed Martin [NYSE: LMT] F-35 Lightning II for the Netherlands rolled out of the F-35 production facility on March 2. This is the latest step in the production process leading to its eventual assignment to Eglin AFB, Fla., later this summer.
