U.S. and South Korea high level of alert for possible missile launch of North Korea in next 48 hours

Nuclear tension is growing on the Korean Peninsula. Earlier this month, two mid-range BM-25 Musudan missile complexes were positioned on the eastern coast. Intelligence information says the complexes are in a ready-to-launch status. 
The No-Dong-B (BM-25 Musudan) is a medium range ground-to-ground ballistic missile based on the technology of the Russian-made ballistic missile Scud-C.

North Korea ready to start military demonstration in response of South Korea hostility

The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) threatened Tuesday, April 16, 2013, to start "military demonstration" in response to South Korea's hostility, said the official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).

Raytheon to upgrade South Korean F-16 Fighting Falcon with AESA radars

Raytheon Company announced today its Raytheon Advanced Combat Radar (RACR) has been competitively selected by the Republic of Korea to upgrade the country's KF-16C/D Block 52 Fighting Falcon fleet.

South Korea ready to purchase 60 F-35 CTOL fighter aircraft from United States

The Defense Security Cooperation Agency of United States notified Congress March 29 of a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Government of Korea for 60 F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Conventional Take Off and Landing (CTOL) aircraft and associated equipment, parts, training and logistical support for an estimated cost of $10.8 billion.
The conventional takeoff and landing (CTOL) F-35A is a multirole, supersonic, stealth fighter that has extraordinary acceleration and 9-g maneuverability and agility.

United States ready to protect Japan and South Korea against any attacks of North Korea

Secretary of United States, John Kerry on Tuesday reaffirmed U.S. defense commitment to the Republic of Korea (ROK) and Japan, vowing no recognition of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) as a nuclear state.
The U.S. Navy is moving a warship and a sea-based radar platform closer to the North Korean coast in order to monitor that country’s military moves, including possible new missile launches, a Defense Department official said Monday, April 1, 2013.

North Korea enters in a state of war against South Korea after the flew of U.S. B-2 bombers

North Korea said Saturday, March 30, 2013, it was entering a "state of war" with South Korea in a continuing escalation of angry rhetoric directed at Seoul and Washington, but the South brushed off the statement as little more than tough talk.
North Korean leader Kim Jong-un signed off on an order putting its missile units on standby to attack US military bases in the South and the Pacific.

South Korea deploys cruise missile against North Korea in response of its nuclear missile tests

South Korea's military is deploying cruise missiles capable of striking the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) and accelerating the development of ballistic missiles, officials said Wednesday. "We have deployed a cruise missile that can strike any and all parts of North Korea (DPRK)," Seoul's defense ministry spokesman Kim Min-seok told reporters at a press briefing.
The latest version of South Korean-made cruise missile, the Hyunmoo-IIIB is able to hit a target at a maximum range of 1,000 km with high accuracy.

Republic of Korea Navy commissions First of Class "Incheon" FFX I Frigate

Republic of Korea Navy commissioned on 17 January 2013 the first of its next next generation FFX I class Frigate. The ship was by Hyundai Heavy Industry and is expected to replace the aging fleet of Pohang class corvettes and Ulsan class frigates, and take over multi-role operations such as coast patrol or anti-submarine warfare.

Republic of Korea Selects The AgustaWestland AW159 for Republic of Korea Navy

AgustaWestland, a Finmeccanica company, is pleased to announce that the Republic of Korea has selected the AW159 helicopter to meet its Maritime Operational Helicopter requirement. The contract for eight AW159 helicopters for the Republic of Korea Navy is the first export order for this new generation aircraft, known as the AW159 Wildcat in UK service.
