China and Malaysia to further strengthen military cooperation between the two countries

Senior Chinese and Malaysian military officials reached consensus on Friday to further strengthen military cooperation between the two countries. Qi Jianguo, deputy chief of the General Staff of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA), said the PLA hopes to bring the bilateral relations between the two armies to a higher level by strengthening high-level exchange, strategic consultations, joint training and other forms of cooperation.

Malaysian army assesses the new AV8 8x8 armoured vehicle before its local production

The Malaysian Armed Forces are assessing the prototype of the future generation of combat armoured vehicle, AV8, before its production commences locally. Malaysian Defence Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said, the ATM had received the prototype and were conducting tests.
The new 8x8 armoured vehicle AV-8 was unveiled to the public during the 80th Army Day anniversary celebration in Malaysia.

Rafale International Underscores Commitment to Malaysia Lima 2013 Langkawi Air Show

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between Strand Aerospace Malaysia and Dassault Aviation, which took place at LIMA ’13 further underscores the commitment of Rafale International to Malaysia. Dassault Aviation, together with Snecma (Safran Group) and Thales form the joint-venture group that developed the Rafale (With Video flight demo).

Rafale Dassault Fighter Aircraft Turns Up the Heat At LIMA Langkawi 2013.

The heat in Langkawi went up a few searing notches as the Rafale which is now in Langkawi for the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA’13) took to the skies in preparation for the exhibition which officially opens on Tuesday, 26 Mar 2013. The Rafale fighter aircraft is scheduled to wow visitors with jaw-dropping aerial manoeuvres during its daily demo flight.

Air, ground assault launched by Malaysian army against militants to reclaim part of Borneo island.

An air, ground assault and mortar attacks were launched by Malaysian armed forces, killed at least 13 of the nearly 200 militants seeking to reclaim part of Borneo Island for a Filipino sultan, Malaysian police officials said Wednesday, March 6, 2013.

Offensive of Malaysian armed forces against a group of armed soldiers from the Philippines

Malaysian fighter jets and soldiers on Tuesday, February 5, 2013, waged an offensive against a group of armed invaders from the Philippines, who have staked a claim to a remote part of the island of Borneo, authorities said. Previous efforts by Malaysian police to turn the men back had ended in deadly clashes.

The new Malaysian 8x8 armoured vehicle AV-8 unveils during the 80th Army Day anniversary.

The new Malaysian 8x8 armoured vehicle AV-8 designed for the 21st century has been revealed to the public during the 80th Army Day anniversary celebration in Port Dickson, Negri Sembilan. The Malaysian defence ministry spokesman said, the Turkey-designed armoured vehicle was flown to Malaysia and currently placed at an army camp in Port Dickson.
