China would like to boost cooperation with Bulgaria in the defence and military fields

United States talk with Japan to work closely about defense cooperation against regional threats

Visiting top U.S. military officer Martin Dempsey met here Friday with Japanese military chiefs and vowed to cooperate closely with Japan on defense to cope with regional threats. Dempsey, chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, held talks with Japanese Defense Minister Itsunori Onodera and Chairman of the Self-Defense Forces'Joint Staff Shigeru Iwasaki and reaffirmed U.S. commitment to defend Japan under their bilateral alliance.

Cuba and Russia will continue military collaboration in the future

Russia has good military cooperation with Cuba and will continue expanding their military ties, Cuban official Prensa Latina news agency quoted a Russian general as saying here Friday, April 19, 2013.
The Cuban army uses many Russian-made military equipment as the armoured personnel carrier BRDM-2 and the multiple launch rocket system BM-21.

China and Malaysia to further strengthen military cooperation between the two countries

Senior Chinese and Malaysian military officials reached consensus on Friday to further strengthen military cooperation between the two countries. Qi Jianguo, deputy chief of the General Staff of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA), said the PLA hopes to bring the bilateral relations between the two armies to a higher level by strengthening high-level exchange, strategic consultations, joint training and other forms of cooperation.

China would like to continue bilateral military cooperation with Saudi Arabia

Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday, April 2, 2013, met with Khalid Sultan, deputy defense minister of Saudi Arabia. Xi, also chairman of the Central Military Commission, reviewed the smooth growth of China's ties with Saudi Arabia since the two countries forged diplomatic relations in 1990, citing frequent high-level visits, fruitful cooperation in trade, the economy and energy, and close coordination in international affairs.

Cambodia and Japan new step in defence cooperation with training of Cambodian peacekeepers

Cambodia and Japan have seen a new phase in defense cooperation, Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Tea Banh said Wednesday, March 21, 2013. His remarks were made after Japan sent its military experts to train 15 Cambodian peacekeeping forces for the first time. The two- month course was concluded on Wednesday.

Spain and Brazil to strenghten defense collaboration with exchange of technology and equipment

Defense ministers of Brazil and Spain met here Tuesday, March 12, 2013, and voiced their readiness to strengthen the two countries' cooperation in defense. "It is important that Brazil and Spain maintain tight relations, because we have shared principles," said Brazil's Celso Amorim after the meeting with Pedro Morenes.

Vietnam and Russia to discuss military cooperation and weapons purchase

Vietnam and Russian defense ministers met in Vietnam's capital Hanoi on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, to discuss measures to lift bilateral defense ties to a new height. "At the meeting, the two sides discussed issues of implementing the consensus reached by the two countries' leaders, exchange of visits by high-ranking military officials, cooperation in military engineering, human resources training, and weapons purchase."
A Vietnamese army delegation visited some Russian military units and training bases in October 2012.
