Seventeen NATO countries will be equipped with the new Russian-made shotgun rifle Vepr-12

Seventeen NATO countries will be equipped in the future with the new Russian shotgun rifle Vepr-12, annonced the Russian State Corporation of Technologies Rostekhnologii, on Friday, October 12, 2012. Based on the Kalashnikov assault rifle, the Vepr 12 is designed by the Russsian factory Molot.
The Vepr 12 shotgun is gas-operated, semi-automatic shotgun which uses long-stroke gas piston located above the barrel, and a rotary locking bolt. Gas system is self-regulating and does not need manual adjustments.
