Around 600 NATO troops with six batteries of Patriot air defense missile to be deployed in Turkey

Around 600 NATO troops are expected to be deployed in Turkey with six Patriot missile systems to reinforce the NATO member country's air defense and calm its fears of coming under a possible missile attack from neighboring Syria, local newspaper Today's Zaman reported Sunday, December 9, 2012.
Patriot ground-to-air defence missile system launcher unit. Each battery to be sent to Turkey reportedly has four to six missile launchers and each launcher has the capacity of launching 16 missiles.
