The handover ceremony for China’s first type-056 new-type corvette with hull number 582 was held on the afternoon of February 25, 2013 in Shanghai. Wu Shengli, member of the Central Military Commission (CMC) and commander of the Navy of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA), attended and addressed the ceremony.
