Indian Navy’s largest Offshore Patrol Vessel INS “Saryu” was formally commissioned into the Indian Navy by Air Marshal P K Roy, AVSM VM VSM Commander-in-Chief, Andaman & Nicobar Command on 21st January 2013. This is the first of the New 105 meter class of Naval Offshore Patrol Vessels indigenously designed in-house and built by Goa Shipyard Ltd for the Indian Navy. The commissioning ceremony was held at Goa Shipyard Ltd.
Addition of another patrol vessel for Indian Navy has become more powerful.After additon of INS Vikramaditya, now Indian Navy got INS Saryu, which is the patrol vessel build by Goa shipyard.INS Saryu offshore patrol vessel is the first of the new 105 meter class of Naval offshore patrol vessels.INS Saryu equipped with an 80KVA auxilary genset & speed of the vessel is 25kt and range is of 6,000nmi.For getting more details :
